16C Elm Chest
Carving based on a picture of a chest
dated 1570
with some changes to detail and a different centre panel.
Note that although the straight lines look as though they
were carved freehand, the arches are much more accurate.
This is a reflection of the original as the customer wished
to keep the 'feel' and 'age' without making an exact copy.
